THE CARBON MARKET IN AMERICA

According to New York Times, Carbon Trading is one of the fastest growing specialties in the financial service industry and is estimated to grow from $ 30 billion to $ 1 Trillion in the next decade. London’s Financial World thinks that Carbon Trading will be the world’s biggest commodity. The US is seeing a strong shift towards voluntary carbon emission and an urgency among local governments to pass environmental legislation. The upcoming months will shape the future of the North American Carbon Emission market and legislation. Issues such as policy, market place and technology will be formulated and created.

CARBON FORUM AMERICA (CFA) 2008 is a response to the demand for an organized and regulated market. Unlike others, CFA is the first US industry event which combines a Trade Fair with a Conference. Organized by the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and Koelnmesse the event will be held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California from February 26 – 27, 2008.

The cooperation between Koelnmesse and IETA has created many successful events over the last 4 years among them CARBON EXPO in COLOGNE and Carbon Expo Asia in Beijing.
