This will be the second annual Building SustainAble Communities conference for elected officials and staff from local governments throughout BC.

Major topics to be addressed include:

  • sustainability indicators,
  • internal barriers to sustainability,
  • trends in water sustainability,
  • new technologies for energy efficiency,
  • trends in transportation demand management,
  • consumerism and our throwaway economy,
  • zero waste,
  • climate change, and
  • growth controls.
